Bye River (original title: Sumidouro) is a documentary that approaches the migration of two communities - Porto Coris and Peixe Cru - located in Vale do Jequitinhonha region, Minas Gerais State, which are going to be flooded by the reservoir of the hydroelectric dam of Irapé. Focused on the social impact caused by the displacement of many families , this documentary brings up the relationship the local community has established with the river, which will no longer exist, contrasting two different views on the situation.
