Leuven '68 (2018)
24 Jan 2018 • Documentary • 1h 9m
The film tells the story of the turbulent years of 1966 to 1968 in Leuven, years in which a widely supported and very intense student revolt shocked the country on its foundations. The revolt, a predecessor of a big wave of student revolutions worldwide, is both a reaction against the rigid, authoritarian policy of the bishops and a struggle for an autonomous Dutch speaking university in Flanders. The consequences of the student's revolt are not limited to City and university, but will have a decisive impact on the course of the Belgian history.
