In his own natural habitat, the infamous Brussels' neighbourhood Molenbeek that appeared in the international news several times after terrorist attacks in Europe, director Koen Van Sande tells a story about paranoia and misunderstandings. His short film 'LOCKDOWN' (2017) is situated in the aftermath of the terrorist attack on Brussels' International Airport of March 2016, putting the multi-cultural neighbourhood of Molenbeek under even more pressure and racial prejudice.. When main character Louis picks up his son from a play date at their Moroccan neighbours' house, the street is put under lockdown and he is forced to stay put. But who are they looking for? And why is everyone behaving with such secrecy? Like a hunted deer Louis is looking for a way out of a world he doesn't know.
