Qu'importe la gravité (2017)
12 Nov 2017 • Documentary • 1h 19m
Christian is 63 and has always been visually impaired. Bruce is 71, partly deaf and bipolar. One is calm and composed, the other exuberant and unpredictable. Brought closer together by their vulnerability, they're now the best of friends. Over the years, Christian's perseverance and daring have helped him fulfill his dream: to fly a hang glider, solo. Bruce has shared the dream vicariously through his friend's story, and now Christian wants Bruce to try it for himself. Matthieu Brouillard deftly captures the two endearing men's affectionate bond, despite differences that can cause frustration. A bittersweet, surrealistic and touching portrait of two men who flout conventional wisdom about mental illness and physical handicaps.
