The Painted Fox (1953)
Animation, Short • 0h 11m
The terrible beast arrived in the forest to bring its own order in it and called himself Ostromysl. His formidable form frightened all forest animals, and even Mikhail Potapych himself. Only the Hedgehog guessed what was wrong. When the Fox demanded for breakfast the bunnies, the Hedgehog and the Hare arranged him a trap near the bridge. When Ostromysl fell into the river and the paint was washed away with water, the beasts were convinced that this is the most common Fox. The crook was driven out of the forest. The film ends with a whisper of the Hedgehog: "Whatever the beast is, you do not believe him!"
