It didn't even make the list of nominated pictures, because ... well, because the people who looked at it didn't know what to make of its collection of abstract moving shapes, and I can't say I honestly blame them. Some things are just too far ahead of their time to make any sense, and this early example of what would become the basis of wire-frame animation was that.At the time, it took a major grant for IBM to produce this. Today every computer you buy carries this as a screen saver, and several dozen others.
