"The Brave Sailor" is a Soviet short black-and-white animated film of 1936, based on Rudyard Kipling's fairy tale "Where a whale has such a mouthful" from the collection "Just So Stories". A sailor who acts in this cartoon, two years later appeared in the film version of another Kipling's fairy tale from the mentioned collection - "Why does a rhinoceros have skin in its folds."
