Branford Marsalis in full throttle teaching at the Manhattan School of Music with the McDonald's High School Ensemble, in between takes on movie sets, backstage at various venues with music producer, Delfeayo Marsalis, and band members, and in concert at Spirit Square Arts Center as the Branford Marsalis Quartet. Interviewees: Sting, Herbie Hancock, Danny De Vito, Billy Crystal, Spike Lee pay tribute. Also released, under the title BRANFORD MARSALIS STEEP '96, a 60 minute-version of this program that consists only of the Quartet's performance.
