A group of young actors want to take their friend along with them to perform overseas. But the girl's overprotective father is afraid that she'll never return, or she'll try to kill herself again. The conflict in Behzadi's film is cross generational. Winner of the Special Jury Prize at the Tokyo International Film Festival, Bending the Rules portrays the conflict between young people and an older generation that fears the consequences of confrontation.
