It seems like every other movie made in Germany has to have the Nazis in it. Which is something that this movie tries to make fun of. It also tries to make fun of filmmaking. Filmmaking in Germany that is. Does it succeed? Rarely and when it does you have a very subtle way and it's humor is underplayed. If this is your kind of thing, than you might want to stick with this. It's also awkward, weird and offbeat. And kind of off target, sometimes it seems on purpose, to make a joke that is not something you will laugh out loud to. It's a tough movie to judge, because it kind of achieves what it sets out to do, but it's not that much fun to watch in the end. Which is a shame, because there are some nice acting moments here and there ... Tough sell and probably not for too many people (like the movie ... in the movie that is)
