Schaffouse, Chûtes du Rhin vues de loin (1896)
Documentary, Short • 0h 1m
Schaffouse, Chûtes du Rhin vues de loin (1896) This is an entertaining film from the Lumiere Brothers as the camera is placed on high (I'm going to guess on a hill) and it's looking down on some strong rapids in a river. We then see a small boat coming up from the bottom frame with a few men on it as they row towards the rapids. Obviously there's nothing ground-breaking here or anything that changed cinema but if you're a fan of these early actuality movies then I'm sure you will enjoy this one. The rapids alone are quite entertaining and thankfully the cinematography is extremely good for this era so we get a terrific view of them.
