See Me, Feel Me, Take Me (1971)
Adult, Drama • 1h 17m
Stories about whores are commonplace in porn, even though any pornographer worth his or her salt will bend your ear ad nauseum on the vast difference between prostitution and acting in porn films. This forgettable tale, which unlike IMDb's listing has no commas shown in its title on screen, has little to offer.Girl comes to L.A., checks into a fleabag hotel for $5 and starts picking up johns on the corner, much to the dismay of an established buxom hooker and her pimp. Despite warnings, she keeps up her poaching, so the resident whore steals all her belongings. Our heroine meets Mr. Right at a playground and they live happily ever after. One suspects mainstream (or even legit indie auteurs who have not gone the porno path of least resistance) would envy the free-spirited pornographer who can literally throw any old thing up there on the screen as long as it's dirty. That's the principle motivating SEE ME FEEL ME TAKE ME, a movie that has only one identifying characteristic, the heroine's addiction to bubble gum. A subplot of her feeling guilty and visiting a priest seems emphasized (padding?) but goes absolutely nowhere.Film's technical credits are poor, but making it even more boring than intended is the Alternative Cinema boys removing the music track and replacing it (as usual) with a mind- numbing repetitive percussion vamp for the DVD release. I will complain every time they do this -the "it wasn't me" modern=day porn purveyor's answer to Ted Turner's ancient Colorization fiasco.
