Frogs, eels and half a dozen large fish are collected in a ten-gallon tank. They spend their time trying to keep out of each others' way without much success. The very earliest Lumiere films -- and anything from 1895 counts as one -- are interesting to the modern viewer as studies in composition, movement and bygone eras. I don't see this as qualifying under the last criterion, but the frame of the tank does frame the the action. The action itself is too frantic and diverse to make the patterns of the motion -- which is basically panicked -- to be of much interest. The Lumieres would figure this out fairly quickly.
