History of this design is recounted, including the politics (and the need for a weaponizable nuclear fuel) which killed it. Discussing energy alternatives, the capacity of solar/wind renewable is examined. Can society depend of intermittent power sources? It is even possible politically to move people to more expensive sources of energy?
