Xiong di you zhong (1986)
Action, Thriller • 1h 19m
Little Kai (Sun Ya-Tung) is a member of a criminal organisation. The tattoo on his chest earns him the nickname of 'Leopard'. Immediately upon Little Kai's release from jail, his brother is framed and murdered. Suspecting that it's an inside job, Kai returns to the organisation to see if he can find out root out who is behind his brother's death. What sounds like a straightforward plot on paper is made incomprehensible due to poor editing, lighting and the generally weak and confusing execution. There's no one really to root for and unfortunately, Sun Ya-Tung isn't a very exciting lead. Chen Sing is brought in for 'star power' and Chou Ying-Ti looks nice enough, although spends most of her screen time being slapped around or crying. Things pick up during the showdown but by then you'll have no idea who is shooting at who, or why. Still, I'm a sucker for these Taiwanese cheapies and although this one is fairly bottom of the barrel, I still enjoyed some of its low budget charm.2 out of 5Review source: Pan-Asia Video , VHS (USA) (Mandarin language with English subtitles)
