The movie opens with a vampire bat flapping in Castle Frankenstein, that transforms into Count Dracula (played by Victor Fabian). The count is able to control Lawrence Talbot, the "wolf man" (played by Don Glut) through telepathy and hypnotic influences; with Talbot becoming a servant of the count. The count sends Talbot out of the castle to find a victim and return with the body for the count to suck the blood from. Talbot demands to be set free, and attacks the count as the wolf man. Talbot finds to sticks to make a crucifix. With the count powerless to defend himself, Talbot stabs a stick through into the count's heart, reducing him to a skeleton. Upon doing so, Talbot returns to human form.
