Miquel Barceló is a Spanish painter who has developed, with his partner Josef Nadj, a brand new way of theater. Made out of clay, their scenery is a tabla rasa where even the slightest impulse of human soul leaves its trail, and though as time passes by the dramatic space mutates until being unrecognizable, the earth has its memory and nothing will be completely lost. Our artists have traveled round the world performing this curious play, and now they've decided to do it for one last time, in a land that has captivated Miquel's heart: The Dogon country, in Mali. There, where the weather is so inhospitable that it becomes impossible to paint in traditional ways, and where no art piece has its future secured, Miquel tries the primitive techniques of drawing over the caves' walls, something not very different from what he does in the stage.
