Tessie and Bessie are two lovely roommates who are threatened with eviction when they don't pay their rent. They read a newspaper ad about the hiring of female police officers. They rush to the police station and are hired immediately. On their way home in uniform they are the object of attention from all the men they pass. Bachelors keep approaching the girls one by one. Annoyed, the girls give each of the men a job to do: for Mike--mending; for Tom--mowing the lawn; for Terence--watering the garden; and for Jack and Harry--repainting the girls' apartment. But all good things must come to an end and the film concludes with pandemonium.
