Mushroom Seekers is a first-person journey of an American woman through wild mushroom experiences in the Czech Republic, where finding and eating mushrooms is called the national pastime; the U.S., where picking and using wild mushrooms is still considered somewhat esoteric and best done with some guidance from 'experts'; and Oaxaca, Mexico, where sacred practices in mushroom use are thousands of years old. This reflection on cultures and nature through the lens of mushroom picking pursues the knowledge of living that gets lost in migrations but may be found if one only seeks.
