The Curse and The Jubilee is a collective voice of survival in the postindustrial, cursed mining town of Ivanhoe VA. The film engages the people as they are reconstituted through the Jubilee, a July 4th celebration where the scattered families return to their forsaken lands and stand in solidarity against the scars left by the mines, racism, poverty and abandonment.
