Dobogó kövek (2010)

I saw this movie at a house party a million years ago and it all looked like something that doesn't make any sense. There were scenes that had nothing to do with one another. Then I got older. I saw it once again at a friendly gathering as the host is huge fan of one of the main stars of the movie (Johnny Gold) and the second experience was totally different.I got all the jokes this time I guess. My favorite one is when someone is painting a picture and her brother asks what she is doing. The painting is already done, but she's acting like she is painting it at the moment. I've seen it a million times in other movies and here, the actor asks the "painter" what the hell they are still doing with the finished piece of art.Or another example for the weird humor of the movie: Johnny Gold arrives by taxi and the driver asks for a certain amount. In other movies, the actor just gives a bill and goes, here the actor spends almost a minute to pull the coins together. That was a scene that was heavily critisized and I guess that's one of the bravest and coolest scenes I've seen in a Hungarian movie. I like the acting and the dialogs, the slang is very unique and fresh even after 10 years! I can't give it a 10 star as the sound is very raw and feels like a no budget movies voice over. You need a few minutes to get used to it and start feeling the movie. It's something else for sure.
