Through economic necessity, an Aran Islander is forced to travel to England to work on building sites so that he can earn money to support his family back on the Islands. All the while he is labouring, his mind thinks back to the Arans, to his family and friends and the almost idyllic life he had to leave behind. This short Irish Gaelic film shows his happy return to a welcoming family and his immersion, once more, into the life and culture of his native home. I suppose that the message, if any, is that you may travel the world but, at the end of the day, there is really no place like home!
