We all come from somewhere, but its not always easy to know where we are going. In a world full of pressure and complexity, there is however one thing that we all share regardless of our background, and that is the search for meaning. That something that makes our heart beat. This quest inspired a young Norwegian woman and two Ju/'hoansi bushmen to set out on a journey of self-discovery and survival: walking 1490 km across the wilderness of Namibia to reach the ocean. An idea that would change their life for ever. The days and reality out there will prove to be tough and brutal, as the trio who decided to walk without ressources is forced to live of the land in the same way San people did at a time when they could move freely all over southern Africa. Aleksandra is the narrator of the walking journey which is written one step at a time, from the Kalahari to the Skeleton coast of Namibia. Our film is a fable, an enchanting tale about people and their search to discover meaning and a sense of belonging.
