The movie starts with a hero carrying a little girl on his back. He takes to an old master and they discuss the back story. He was married to the lead (Chang Ching-Ching) but he took their daughter and left her due to immorality. The mother, once called Beauty Goddess is now called Cruelty Goddess, wants her daughter back. He tells her that child is dead and this child is from him and his second wife. It seems he might be lying. They fight and she kills him.The old master tells the child to go by a different name and gives her a necklace from her birth mother. He tries to hide the child but her mother keeps coming for her. The child finds her kung fu master and the credits roll. She is now grown up. Cruelty Goddess continues a killing spree to find her. This movie starts heavy on the drama as typical of Taiwanese movies of this era. Sometimes this work but it just as often missed the mark. Overall I rate this just below average because it simply needed more action. My copy is a computer file that plays a picture in 4:3 framing like a VHS tape. It has dual hard subtitles in Chinese and English. Because of the video framing parts of the subtitles are often cut off on the sides or drop off the bottom.
