Marea Verde (2021)

Daughters, mothers, grandmothers, sisters, lesbians, pregnant bodies - they all took to the streets of Argentina. Together, all wearing something green as a symbol of resistance, health and hope, they demanded the right to decide about their bodies. A national campaign for legal, safe and free abortion began in 2005. "Sex education to decide, contraceptives to avoid abortion, abortion to avoid death". Years of fighting against conservative legislation brought about its change. The documentary recounts how this came about, how feminist movements' fight for the dignity of women making one of the most important decisions in their lives ended in changes to the law in Argentina.
