Recife/Sevilha, João Cabral de Melo Neto (2003)
Documentary • 0h 52m
Much has been written about João Cabral de Melo Neto, but the poet's audiovisual records are few. The film starts from five meetings recorded in 1999, where the writer talks about literature, football, the sertão, music, bullfights and flamenco, his great passions. The testimonies also reveal Recife and Seville, cities that he loved and that would have been irreconcilable due to their countless differences if João Cabral had not lived in them and had not had his personality and personal stories reflected in the streets and people.
