Unfortunately, every year, Mental Illness takes eight million lives worldwide. Mental illness is not a myth, it exists and it is so real as any other physical illness. It begins by infiltrating in our minds, feeding from our fears and insecurities and grows in our body until it becomes a giant monster with the power to rule. But even today many people remain in silence, feeling ashamed and guilty of speaking about it because Mental Illness is still regarded as a taboo. That's why it's urgent to speak about it in order to be decreased. It's not only urgent to speak but also to listen and to observe the way Mental Illness affects the lives of those who are close to us. It's urgent to pay attention and care to keep it away from ourselves and from those who are known to us. It's urgent to help.
