25 May 2021 • Short, Drama
The story of the short film "Iran; The Second Day" is about Iran, a little girl whose father has died and she lives with her mother. He has no one in this city except his mother. One day, his mother takes him to school, and after Iran goes to school, his mother has an accident on the way to work and dies. But no one has witnessed this and is not aware of it. The film begins where Iran waits at school for his mother to follow him. But no one is looking for him. The school agents are pursued at first, but then, one by one, they shrug off one of the responsibilities they have to take on Iran. The manager hands over to the moderator. Moderator, to the teacher. Teacher, to the employee. Finally, the employee hands over Iran to an Afghan worker working next to Iran's house. The Afghan worker says he has to go to Afghanistan at night because it is his daughter's wedding and he cannot take care of Iran until his mother comes. But the employee satisfies him on the pretext that the Iranian mother will return soon. An Afghan worker watches over Iran until midnight. Iran sleeps in the tent where he lives. The Afghan worker decides to close the tent door and leave. And it does and goes. Tomorrow morning we will see Iran at school. School agents notice the mother having an accident and inform each other. The school bell rings and the children close. The teacher does not allow him to go to Iran and takes him to the principal's office. Outside the school we see an Afghan worker waiting for Iran to come. That is, he did not leave Iran for the sake of Iran, and because of a little girl who has no one, he left his own daughter's wedding.
