A documentary on photographer Masaya Nakamura. Nakamura had won the Rookie of the Year Award from the Photo Critics Association in 1957. The film follows the techniques and philosophy of Nakamura's work while he photographs eight nude models in his studio and on the beach. In its presentation of nude/erotic subject matter, this film is considered an important precursor to the Pink Film genre, which is said to have first appeared in 1962 with Satoru Kobayashi's Nikutai no ichiba (1962).
