First of all, this movie's dialogs are actually a poem, so if your Russian is not very good, English translation would possibly kill more than half if not all of the jokes. The jokes are not dirty as it is the case in most modern Russian comedies. On the contrary, the dialogs are surprisingly smart and timely. The story has a very good moral foundation, but ends rather realistically than happily. That was the only frustrating thing in the movie, but hey, it is not made in Hollywood :) In my opinion, "Ne dumai..." is the best Russian movie of last several years. It is funny, smart, well-made, uniquely different, modern, and truly Russian. Especially recommended for those who plan to visit St. Petersburg - it won't give you great scenery but will reveal true characters of the people who live there.
