Borrowing its theme from a Chinese tale that excludes factual reality, this short film is a perfect work of avant-garde evoked through a series of dreams, without a fixed script. I would say it is one of the best 30 minutes, so fascinating and overwhelming, an explosion of psychedelia that is suspended in magma of images that we know as experimental cinema. The quality with a lot of grain, pixilation, full of jump cuts despite that, it is one of the most interesting and distinctive work of art. The soundtrack manages to create a strange, melancholic soundscape and takes us into the past and the strength and joy of the children with changing of seasons, where the images overlap to the ethereal score.Overall, if a cinephile does not know the exceptional filmography of Alain Mazars, or not willing to explore experimental aesthetic and thematic narrative as it is demanding, then better let it pass.I recommend this art to those who adore the works ofJordan Belson, Michio Okabe, Pierre Clementi, Colectivo Los Ingrávidos, Jean-Marie Straub, Ishu Patel, Kenji Onishi, James Fotopoulos, Deborah Stratman, Tanoa Sasraku, Jorge Acha, Jem Cohen, Ben Rivers, Jonas Mekas, Christopher Maclaine, Jean-Pierre Bekolo, Marc Hurtado, Peggy Ahwesh, F. J. Ossang, Robert E. Fulton, Barbara Hammer, James Benning, César Galindo, Fern Silva, Arthur Omar, Alain Montesse, Jean-Claude Rousseau, Joao Maria Gusmao & Pedro Paiva.
