A girl is held hostage by a military group. Jimmy rescues her and takes her to an inn to heal. The people are distrusting of him at first but it ends up a family reunion. Jimmy's father has gone missing so he is looking for his uncle. Uncle owns this inn and the pretty young lady, Chang Ching-Ching, is his arranged bride since childhood. It's a small world. The granny character is played by a male, Chen Hui-Lou. He has about 111 credits and has played many diverse characters. He has also done stunts and fights. He is one of the few actors of this period who could do all three - acting, stunts, fights - and with superior competence. The granny character he plays here reminds me of the character Yuen Woo-Ping played in a few early 1980s movies.Jimmy Wang Yu left Shaw Brothers after contract disputes and became a "free agent" in Taiwan by escaping the legal consequences. He made more than a movie a month in 1972 and not all of them were above average. This movie has all the characteristics of a quick paycheck film.
