Set in NYC , Anushka takes care of her sister's son while living with her mother, working in a company and managing a dying business of clothes . Her brother inlaw Arjun wants to help but Anushka hates him for killing her sister while driving . Her neighbour Jagapati is in the same business and lives with his daughter . RamaPrabha comes in a short delightful role . as a customer . their paths keep meeting . After the initial teasings, confusions , banterings, misunderstandings, Anushka expresses her love to Jagapati. He then tells her that he is already married to Bhumika who is dying of Lukemia. A lot of flash backs follow showing their courtship and marriage . Today she is living with Arjun ( who is Anushka's brother in law ) so that the daughter gets used to living alone with her father Jagapati . A lot of emotions and intense scenes later, Bhumika conveniently dies leaving the path free for both of them to marry . Anushka's misunderstandings with Arjun are laid to rest when she realises his real nice nature . All becomes well. JAgapati is 2 decades older than Anushka , it shows . Some scenes like Bhumika's travels with Jagapati are dragged on for too long .
