I bought "Frog Song" ("Enjo-kôsai monogatari: shitagaru onna-tachi") from Amazon without knowing what it was about or even knowing who was in it. The cover with the frog suit looked funny and I usually do enjoy Japanese movies. But "Frog Song", well that one I didn't enjoy very much. I actually fell asleep during it and ended up turning it off.The acting was questionable, and there was way too much pointless nudity and ridiculous sex scenes in the movie. It was nothing more than sleazy entertainment, and I didn't find the movie interesting at all.The story is about Akemi who ends up late at night in a comic book store after having fought with her husband, and he is cheating on her. While in the comic book store, Akemi befriends Kyoko who introduces her to prostitution. And Akemi has a freaky fascination with all things frog (which was actually the only thing in the movie that I found interesting). The storyline was very dull and anything but interesting, it put me to sleep.I wasn't familiar with anyone in the movie, and hand on heart, then I didn't find the acting performances in the movie very inspiring or memorable. And the characters portrayed in the movie were lacking depth and any real distinguishable personalities, it was all quite shallow. This movie was below average, unless you are into sleazy movies that do nothing do display nudity and vulgarity. Take this to mind, as the contents of this movie is not suitable for just everyone.
