Funnicus, the Celebrated Artist (1912)
13 Feb 1913 • Short, Comedy • 0h 6m
Paul Bertho keeps a lion in his artist's studio, for the apparent purpose of eating his sofa, easel, canvas and hat. People come in to look at the artists work or sit for a portrait, but react to the lion.... much as I would, I imagine. Bertho seems to be mostly annoyed by it.This short Eclair comedy was directed by Romeo Bosetti. He was born in 1879, directed many short comedies from 1908 through 1916, including almost thirty that starred him as 'Romeo'. He died in 1948. I was unable to discover the cause of death, although I hope he wasn't eaten by a lion, as this short indicates he was likely to have been.
