Jussi is a very typical finnish young man who is confused what to do when his father's reindeerbusiness is taken away from him.As a Finn my self I really enjoyed this film and could relate to it. This film is done as a student work with Finlands most approciated Art School(Taideteollinen korkeakoulu) and with Sodankyläs Moviefestival. Sodankylä is also the place of shooting. The film shows the emotions of a finnish man starting with the strongest one, jealousy.Jussi is jealous to his older brother who went to study in Helsinki and left him alone in Sodankylä.Then moving to regret. Jussi regrets of his fathers choise of selling the reindeerbusiness and leaving him on his own. I think Jussi is scared of the situation. The reindeerbusiness would've been so easy solution for him. Now he HAS TO think of something else to do with his life. And finally forgiveness and hope. Jussi forgivess his older brother and is willing to challenge the future. This film is a really beautiful and sweet and well done story of a lappish young man. And by beautiful I also mean that the cinematography is also very very beautiful. I enjoyed this film and hope that you will too!
