An office worker is busy at his desk, going over some papers with his secretary, when he receives word that his expectant wife is about ready to give birth. He rushes home, fetching a doctor on the way. Not long after arriving home, he is presented with a newborn child, and the new father is filled with pride and excitement. But soon he learns just how demanding 'the strenuous life' can be.
