zany, fast, funny short feature, directed by the great George Marshall (Laurel and Hardy classics, DUCK with the Marx Brothers).Ned Sparks is a tired businessman who one night stays out a little late: he takes the "sobering" advice of a friend who says rather than upset your wife, coming home at all hours, climb in through the "maid's" window (his wife has recently dismissed her).little does Ned know, a new maid was hired..and there they are , just waiting for Sparks' wife to find them.she goes home to Mother. Sparks has a sleepless night.next day he meets up again with his buddy who has another brilliant idea > find a replacement for the (new) maid who split! the Missus will surely come back! In his sleepiness, he stumbles into a matrimonial service, not an employment agency! now the craziness is compounded as two wacky detectives decide to follow him around! buy this oldie and find out what happens next! and notice great character actress ELISE CAVANNA, usually playing the staid socialite, here playing maid #3, hanging outside 2nd floor windows! (she played the exotic patient to W. C. Field's "Dentist", the following year).
