Slippery Slim Gets Square (1914)
24 Dec 1914 • Short, Comedy
When the handbills are distributed announcing that a dance is to be given at the town hall that evening, Slim loses no time in asking Sophie to accompany him. She accepts, so he hurries to the creek to take his bath. Meanwhile Mustang has invited Sophie and is refused. He strolls down to the creek and finds Slim's clothes. He hides them and feeling certain that Slim will be unable to find them, prepares to take Sophie to the dance. Slim manages to get home under cover of a gunny sack, and while Mustang is getting cleaned up, puts some powder on his clothes which has a smarting effect. Mustang goes to call for Sophie but is most uncomfortable. In the meantime Slim writes a note telling Sophie that Mustang has smallpox. Sophie sees how restless he is so throws him out. Slim then steps in and has things his own way.
