This story of a May-December affair between a middle-aged judge and a young taxi driver brings to light society's perceptions of gender, age, and class. The guy is in mourning after his father, after a cabbie, was killed by a holdup-gang robber. Dorinda is a menopausal judge; Noah is a virile 20-year-old. They don't fit the equation, but that's what makes their relationship exciting.
