Jeder ein Berliner Kindl (1966)
Documentary, Short • 0h 4m
Before going to bed I decided to watch a short film. Checking titles from 1966 waiting to be watched, this was the first short from 1966 I landed on,leading to me opening a Kindl.View on the film:Drinking up the ads for a local beer company, director Harun Farocki smoothly tilts and pans the camera over old photos of the company, with cheering and toasting sound effects creating the impression from that moment in time.Panning to a The Beatles-inspired ad campaign by the company,Farocki takes a refutation stance to the images of the swinging 60's,with Farocki poking the hip photos with a cynical narration on how fake this fantasy being served up is.
