This documentary takes us to four different people's different ways right through the very highs and lows of what it means to become a professional actor at the Ernst Busch Academy, Berlin, Germany. A very intense, very emotional movie which leaves nothing undisclosed but remains fair towards the persons featured in the end. "You need to be a bit mad for this kind of job" one of the students says -- "It is existentially necessary for me to play" says another. "Die Spielwütigen" won the audience's award at the 54th international movie festival in Berlin. Some of the questions covered are: What is success? What's the price one pays? What do they want to make out of my life? What do I want to make out of my life?
