This is a little film. But Vincenzo Salemme gives it a poetic edge, with all his being a "Napulitano". Salemme is surely a talented actor, event though his use of the vernacular limits the audience. In this minor movie he explores the contrasts between south and north, the eternal problem that Italy seems not be able to fix. It's hilarious, of course, but it also gives you something to think about. Salemme and his friend go to Milan, with the dream of becoming actors. There they find a world that actually refuses these two men and their rustic simplicity. Our heroes are forced to pretend they are gay, by an obviously fraudulent "movie company". Endless equivocations then, in the better Italian comedy tradition. Alena Seredova, a fashion model who's become famous mostly because her love story with the goalkeeper of an important football team, offers a rather convincing performance. I am not going to recommend this film, but it is not at all worse than many other minor Italian films.
