Krazy Kat is called upon to substitute for a factory room of storks in delivering newborn infants -- all of whom look like Kewpie dolls -- in this late-silent cartoon co-directed by Manny Gould and Ben Harrison -- not to be confused with the President of the United States. The usual confusion results.Krazy, although she still wears a ribbon around her neck, is no longer the Krazy Kat that George Herriman created. Instead, she is a variation of Felix the Cat, with a lot of the transformation gags used by Felix. Mostly, though, this cartoon seems to suggest a live-action Christie comedy of the era, with a constant stream of gags, minimal set-up and little effect on the bare-bones story line. The net effect is quite good, but not particularly memorable.
