I saw this movie on TV. It is a shame that it is released in Holland in very few copies for cinemas. A beautiful, poetic movie in which old footage, new footage and music blend into one. The movie tells the story of a salesman looking for his father, who has emigrated to the USA. After years the man comes back to Rotterdam for a sales order, this is where the story starts. The movie shows the story of the father and the son. The story of the father is shown with old archive footage from Rotterdam (I presume it is footage dating before the bombing of Rotterdam in 1940). The story of the son is played by the members of the Dutch band 'De Kift'. Fragments of there music form the soundtrack of the movie, and the dialogues consist also fragments of their lyrics.
