Back in 1999, i went to the theater to see the Short compilation known as "Historias Breves III" (which means "Short stories III). This compilation was divided in two categories: "right eye" and "left eye" to make a difference between the drama oriented shorts and the comedy oriented shorts. This compilation is known for being a first look for the newest Argentinian filmmakers, in early edition there were directors such as ISRAEL ADRIAN CAETANO ("Un Oso Rojo"/"A Red Bear") or DANIEL BURMAN ("Derecho de familia"/ "Family Law") among others. And of course as a short compilation, some are the typical story of characters talking a lot and not saying anything or have the same plot and common boring topics. Not in this case, for my point of view this one was the best, the story of a man who goes to jail and have a bad relationship (at the beginning) with his cell mates, but eventually with his drawing skills revolutionize the whole prison, especially when everybody see his skills to draw sexiest women on the mattresses, and therefore avoid their "loneliness". I'm not going to tell you the whole story but if you can watch it, i heard it was on international festival, so if you not see this on cable you possible can watch it on the net. It's was beautifully shot and you're not going to regret.
