Anna is a recent graduate theologian who is looking for a job. For Anna there is nothing more important than to have children, but even though she and her husband Frank have been trying for years, nothing has happened. When she is offered a temporary job as a priest at a women's prison, she sees no reason to say no. There she meets Kate, an inmate who seems to have supernatural powers. Anna discovers that she is pregnant and it is revealed that Kate carries a secret that may have fatal consequences for both of them.
