The film is about a young woman who makes a living working as a waitress in a winter tourism region of the Austrian Alps. Not far behind the beautiful and relaxing atmosphere of "winter wonderland" lies Evi's reality of hard work and long hours in an unfriendly working environment. She finds happiness in alcohol and meaningless one-night-stands. Only her little daughter gives her the will for ending this, but she doesn't quite succeed yet... Quite a sad film actually, as you will notice most of the story line happens everyday in reality in thousands of villages living of tourism. Also sad to see about the results of alcohol abuse. Not a film for a night out with a date I should think...
