A film based on biography of the famous Russian balalaika player Vasili Vasilevich Andreev (1867-1918), a self-taught virtuoso musician, who brought balalaika to the concert stage. He was the Founder and the Music Director of the first Russian Folk Balalaika orchestra in St. Petersburg and made successful international music tours. Andreev also wrote beautiful waltzes, polonaises, mazurkas and other music for balalaika.
