Bogotá 2016 (2001)
21 Sep 2001 1h 25m
On this strange but refreshing movie we can find three different point of view of the Colombian future. The first segment "Quien paga el pato?" is some kind a thriller, involving the media, and the religion; the segment "La Venus Virtual" has the best plot of the movie, a bizarre tale of a dark city divided in two, the clean and the dirty citizens (the dirty are AIDS infected); "Zapping" the last one, is the parody of the classic TV Couple Contest. With a very low budget, "Bogota 2016" has a convincing outcome, with influences of Terry Gilliam's Brazil, Luc Besson's Last Combat and Jeunet's Delikatessen. But the most important, this movie generates great expectations about the Colombian film making.
